There is only one variable in life you can never create more of, buy more or steal from someone else: time. Early on in my life some very difficult events impacted me and taught me how fragile time in our life can be. From that early time I knew I needed to maximize my time and prioritize the things that really mattered to me most. This focus is what got me into all of the adventurous activities I currently enjoy, but it also instilled in me the importance of finding something in my life that provided me with Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose.

Growing my professional career taught me so much about myself and what I was capable of. Consistently driving for achievement and goals, I learned that no matter how much I succeeded I would continually move the goalpost. There was no end in sight to the continual grind.  So I decided to set a finite endpoint for my family: Financial Independence.

Through strategic investments and a focus on my savings rate I learned that retirement wasn’t an age but a number. As I pursued my passion for financial independence and early retirement I always was seeking autonomy and flexibility to pursue my purpose of being a present and immersed husband and dad. What I found as I approached financial independence was that I hadn’t fully found my mastery. What would I do with all of that free time and passion for personal finance? Insert financial planning. With a schedule that allows me flexibility, a technical field that promotes a lifelong passion for learning, and a purpose of helping others chase their dreams, I've found something that I never thought I could.

Nearing Retirement

As an early retiree myself I can understand your passion for pursuing that side gig or gap year abroad. We can talk about the optimal investing strategy or what savings rate you need to leave your higher income stressful job EARLIER. Retirement isn’t an age like were all taught to believe its a strategic plan based on your savings and expenses.

Passive and active real estate investing is a huge part of my own personal retirement strategy. I’ve actively owned direct real estate and invested in passive syndication deals. I love the diversification and passive income that real estate can provide. Lets work together to define how real estate can bolster your financial plan.

Determining how to replace your paycheck after all of those years of accumulation can be stressful. As someone that is currently executing my own retirement withdrawal strategy I can help you build confidence that the savings you’ve built up can sustain you through the remainder of your years as you chase your dreams.
